942: Wincle | Life of Riley

The brewery:  "Set in a lush valley within the Peak District National Park beside the River Dane we are in a very privileged and unique location for a brewery......We are privileged to have a very loyal customer base for our beers. This is not something that we take lightly - there is still intense competition in this sector that was embryonic 15 years ago when we started out. Now with the added complexity of a global pandemic; we, like all other breweries, have had to rethink our strategy and purpose in order bluntly, to ensure survival." The beer: "A delicious golden IPA brewed with Derek in mind. Fortunate enough to have spent his whole life in Wincle, Derek counts himself as blessed ... and with the view of a brewery quite literally on his doorstep who can disagree? " November 2023. 941: Three Tuns | Cleric's Cure

The brewery: "Nestled in the small market town of Bishop’s Castle, Shropshire, our 17th-century brewery holds tradition in the highest regard, which is why our real ales are made the traditional way and crafted with the finest ingredients to give each one its own unique Three Tuns Brewery flavour." The beer: "Presenting a mild malty sweetness, with spiced and floral flavours, Cleric's Cure is our India Pale Ale." November 2023

940: Skull & Hammer | American IPA

The brewery: "Salem Brew Co beers are brewed at the 150 year old Salem Bridge Brewery, in Wainfleet. The famous ‘witch city’ in the US, Massachusetts, Salem, actually derives its name from ‘Sela‘ which means the ‘Country Around the Hills’, whereas the Salem Bridge name derives from ‘sale home’, as Wainfleet was part of a busy port which the ships used to ‘sale home’ to in medieval times. Wainfleet certainly couldn’t be referred to as hilly! The brewers of Salem Brew Co beers say “The Countryside might be flat, but the beer isn’t”." The beer: "This pale, hoppy small batch American IPA is brewed and late hopped with American Hops to produce an aromatic nose, citrus taste and piney finish. It's Hoppy!" 5.5% A.B.V. 938: Conwy | Golden Gate

The brewery: "Conwy Brewery Ltd was started by Gwynne Thomas in the early 2000’s. Gwynne, a chemist by trade with a huge interest in ale brewing, started experimenting with recipes and brewing in his garage and home in Llandudno . In 2003 he and his wife Adele bought the first premises, making Conwy Brewery Ltd the 3rd brewery in North Wales for over 100 years.   The beer: " Packed with 4 American hops. The initial hop hit is followed by malty/biscuity flavours & a long, satisfying bitter finish."   5.8% A.B.V. November 2023.
